Michael Reitman graduated from law school in 1971, and served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Irvin S. Fulop, Judge of the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey in Essex County.
He has been actively involved in both county and state legal associations serving the bar and trial attorneys. Mr. Reitman was Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney from 1983 through 1997 by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
He was appointed by the Assignment Judges of Union and Middlesex Counties to serve as an Arbitrator of civil negligence cases from the inception of the program to the present day. He was also appointed by the Assignment Judge of Union County to the Civil Practice Committee.
He has been a member of the District Fee Arbitration Committee and it’s Chairman in Union County. He served on the Board of Governors of the American Trial Lawyers Association of New Jersey (ATLA- NJ) for over a dozen years which is now known as New Jersey Association for Justice.
